On April 25, the inaugural meeting of the Driving Safety Technical Committee of the Intelligent New Energy Vehicle All Domains Safety Association (IADS) and the standard project review conference were held in Chongqing. Wang Rui, Secretary-General of the IADS, attended the event and delivered a speech. Representatives and experts from companies such as Geely Auto, Changan Automobile, Li Auto, NIO, BYD, and TÜV NORD, along with other industry professionals, totaling over 50 participants, were present at the meeting.
Wang Rui emphasized that driving safety has become a core issue in the high quality development of intelligent new energy vehicles. The IADS Driving Safety Technical Committee will pool global expertise to tackle key technical challenges and advance standardization efforts in areas related to intelligent new energy vehicle driving safety, including intelligent driving, assisted safety, passive safety, and emergency safety. These efforts aim to elevate the overall safety standards of the automotive industry through standardization.
During the establishment of the IADS Driving Safety Technical Committee, the meeting elected members and the chair for the committee, appointed two committee secretaries, and held a certificate presentation ceremony.
In the standard project review session, experts evaluated three group standards: Test and Assessment Methods for Automotive Reclined Seat Occupant Protection, The Validation Methods and Technical Requirements for Chinese 50th Male Human Body Model, Technical requirements and test methods for calibration of aluminum honeycomb in Crash Testing. This laid a solid foundation for the 2025 work plan of the IADS Driving Safety Technical Committee.
During the discussion session, the meeting focused on topics such as Collaborative Paths for Active and Passive Driving Safety, Application and Enhancement Paths for IADS Driving Safety Standards, and International Outreach Paths for IADS Driving Safety Standards. These discussions provided constructive suggestions for the future work of the IADS Driving Safety Technical Committee.
